Definition of Members

“Members” mean the Members of the institute for the time being, or admitted to the institute from time to time
Membership

Who can Join?

Any person, who holds recognized qualifications, and is registered with any State Homoeopathic Board Council or Faculty, shall be eligible for primary membership, and become member after he pays the annual subscription, or otherwise fees, in such manner/ as may be prescribed in bye laws from time to time. A primary member on paying a total sum as prescribed in the ‘Bye Laws” at a time, may if he or she so desires becomes a life member.

The institute shall consist of the members of the following categories :
a. Primary Members
b. Life members
c. Honorary Members
d. Associate members

Rights and Privileges of Members
The primary members will be entitled to all privileges of the institute. They shall have the right to attend and take part in the deliberations of the general body meetings conferences, lectures, discussions and demonstrations organized by the institute, to vote on all resolutions according to the bye-laws formed for the purpose, to receive copies of all publications of the institute, at the prescribed rate, and to the use of the library after paying his or her dues, and to the use of such premises as may be set apart for the members.

Termination of Membership

Termination of Membership may be as any of the following grounds :

  1. by Death
  2. by registration in writing to and on being accepted and confirmed by the Executive Committee of the institute
  3. on being declared insolvent or insane or of unsound mind by a competent authority
  4. on being convicted by a court law
  5. on his removal from the membership on the ground of misconduct, disrepute in profession due to unethical or unprofessional conduct, or otherwise, infringement of the rules and bye-laws of the institute or willful doing anything prejudicial and detrimental to the interest of the institute or the profession or to the cause of Homoeopathy.
  6. The non-payment of the subscription for two consecutive years after written intimation.

Transfer of Membership
A member wishing to transfer his membership from one branch to another branch shall apply in writing to the Secretary of the branch of which he is member. The secretary will forward his application to the branch for which transfer is desired by the Member with no objection certificate and a copy of the letter to the states branch & central office.

Subscription
a) each primary member and Associate member shall pay to the institute an entrance fee and a subscription as prescribed by the bye-laws from time to time.
b) Membership will be in force from the payment of the 1st subscription.

Branch Members
Every candidate for the membership of the institute through a local Branch shall fill up three Membership Application form in the manner prescribed by the institute and the branch concerned shall forward it to the branch secretary along with the required subscription of the branch. The local branch shall consider the application and submit its recommendations to the office of the respective state branch (Central office in case of State branch) along with the required state and central fund contribution within a month of receipt of the application. If the state branch accepts the application, the secretary branch accepts the application, the secretary of the state branch shall forthwith forward his membership application form and central quota of Central Fund contribution to the central office and shall give due notice of the same, in writing to the new member concerned, direct or through the local branch.

Direct members

A) The Centre shall not give membership directly to any qualified Homoeopath or any other person who is residing or practising at a place where there is local Branch or State Branch.

B) Where there is no local Branch or State Branch a qualified Homoeopath can directly apply for his membership

Persons eligible to be direct members attached to the central office or any other state branches shall also fill up the membership application along with their subscriptions to the office concerned. They shall however, be attached to the state branch of their area.

Membership Charges

Lifetime Membership Charges : Rs. 2000/-

Yearly Membership Fee : Rs. 250/- for new Member & 200 for renewal.

(Year of the Institute will be from 1st April to 31st March.)

Register of Membership
A register of membership shall be maintained by every branch wherein all the particulars entered in application form shall be written, with remarks if any and the annual statement of the same shall be submitted to the Central Office. Separated Register for the Primary and the Associate members shall be maintained.

Membership Fee Distribution
Fee Distribution : Rs. 100/- will be kept for the Unit, and Rs. 50/- will send to State General Secretary as State share Rs. 50/- + Rs. 50/- (Admission fee) shall be sent to National Secretary General.

How to send the Demand Draft of subscription fee ?

The Central share + admission fee in a single DD in favour of I.I.H.P., A/c. payable at Eluru (Andhra Pradesh). Send to Secretary General address only.
